Game Boy Advance

There are many ways to play Game Boy Advance games, both through portable systems and on a TV or monitor.  Please read on to find out more info:

Game Boy Advance Versions

Nintendo released four different versions of the GBA, each with it’s own variation of colors. The GBA SP model AGS-101 and the Nintendo DS came with backlit screens, which are a significant improvement to the expereince.  There’s also backlight ktis available for original GBA consoles, however backlight options change so often that we don’t have a section on it yet.  If you’d like more info, My Life In Gaming did an excellent video on this subject.

GBA on a Display

There’s now a few reliable methods of playing original GBA cartridges on TV’s or monitors.  There’s also some decent ways to run GBA games without original carts, such as on the Wii U and via the MiSTer.

There’s also ROM carts available for the GBA, which can be found in that section:  https://www.retrorgb.com/romcarts.html
